White Metal Bearing, Simple Test.
Here is a simple test that can be carried out just before assembly. Certainly worth doing with all white metal bearings, new or old.. It is very clear that one of this pair is not correct, close inspection confirmed delamination from the base steel.
Always test, new or old.
Alvis Grey Lady, balance pipe recovery. The end sections of this pipe had worn along with the inlet manifold. We experimented with "O" rings but settled with building up and machining and reaming the housing to suit.
Land Rover Defender Transfer box with shattered bearings and stripped splines.
Turner S 950 Chassis corrosion and a pre recovery alignment drop test. Surprisingly good results for a car with racing history. Interesting colour sand came from the chassis "Laguna Seca" perhaps?
Trailing arm suspension is a torsion bar made up of four spring sections of similar width and thickness to Morris Minor spring leaf stock.
General workshop photos..
Including Turner suspension work..

Jacob Getting to Know The Dodge Coronet!
Jacob had a great day at work, with a very big thank you to John and his wonderful, original, Dodge Coronet, the very same car that features in my You Tube Wiscombe link previously. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dI3oAIa7fk
And they returned to Radio 2 playing "Go Johnnie Go", very timely!
